Obrigado por reponder minha dúvida, porém so tenho um problema ainda:

os sites mencionados abaixo:
http://127.0.0.1/mysql/
http://localhost/wordpress e
http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/
NÃO abrem em meu IE 6.0, mensagens:
Not Found
The requested URL /mysql/ was not found on this server.
Not Found
The requested URL /wordpress was not found on this server.
e
Not Found
The requested URL /wordpress/wp-admin/ was not found on this server.

Já consegui editar o arquivo wp-config.php que está no seguinte endereço no meu PC:
C:/Arquivos de programas/EasyPhp 1-8/www/wordpress/

Bem estou tentando, e fui bem até a 5 do primeiro passo
Mas ao acessar
http://localhost/wordpress/
aparece a mensagem
There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.

Wue dizer que não consegui configurar a wp-config.php
o que estou fazendo errado?

Olá Heloize.

Provavelmente você não renomeou o arquivo wp-config-sample.php para wp-config.php
Tente fazer isso. Se não for esse o problema, mande outro e-mail com mais detalhes que eu te respondo.

Bom pessoal, quando fui tentar abrir o site http://127.0.0.1/mysql/ não entra, eu entro no easy PHP, ele fica ali no canto inferior direito ligado (onde mostra as horas no PC) e mesmo assim não entra nesse site. POde me ajudar?

Muito obrigado pela visita.
Na janela do EasyPHP tem um botão com a letra “e” ao lado do botão “apache”.
Clique nele e vá na opção “Administração”, lá tem os links para todos os recursos do EasyPHP.

Quando chego no item 6 não consigo finalizar, aparece a mensagem:

Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

eu não consigo configurar

ele fala que da erro [apache2 port (80) is used by “inetinfo.exe”]
se vc puder me adicionar para me ajudar
